Mr. Avakian is a plaintiff’s personal injury litigation attorney at YMPK Law Group, where he advocates for individuals injured in motor vehicle, bicycle, and trucking accidents, dog bites and animal attacks, premises liability incidents, and other personal injury and property damage matters. Known for his well-rounded litigation background, Eddie brings a practical, strategic, and client-focused approach to every case he handles.

Before joining YMPK, Eddie served as a civil litigation defense attorney at Wood, Smith, Henning & Berman, where he handled a wide range of matters involving personal injury claims, breach of contract and warranty disputes, and complex construction defect litigation. His experience defending civil claims provides him invaluable insight into how insurance companies, corporations, defense counsel, and adjusters evaluate and litigate claims, allowing him to anticipate opposing strategies and advocate effectively for his clients.

Eddie’s legal background also includes experience in corporate and commercial transactional law at HVM Law, where he advised on business entity formation, corporate governance, contract negotiation and drafting, startup fundraising, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to that, he gained experience in the entertainment industry through an externship with a respected entertainment law firm representing writers, directors, producers, and actors.

Eddie earned his Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School’s SCALE Accelerated Two-Year Program, with a concentration in Entertainment and Media Law with Honors. During law school, he received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award® for earning the highest grade in Business Associations and served as a Teaching Assistant in multiple courses, helping students strengthen their legal analysis, writing, and jurisdictional understanding. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Criminology, Law & Society from the University of California, Irvine.

Eddie is admitted to practice in the State of California and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He is a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA) and was recognized by Super Lawyers as a Southern California Rising Star in 2026 and 2027.

Outside of the office, Eddie is passionate about emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency, and is especially interested in the intersection of law, innovation, and the future of legal practice.
